Its advanced glide technology and 60-tweezer head minimize any burning sensation and fasten the epilation session. Making this product a great option for those with low pain tolerance or people with sensitive skin. Emjoi eRase can remove hair as short as 0.3mm.

The device comes with a trimming/shaving cap to groom the hair and get the closest epilation. Also, it comes with an additional sensitive head attachment for facial hair, underarms and bikini areas. The epilator head is coated with anti-bacterial foil to ensure safe, clean epilation without irritating the skin.

Emjoi eRase trimming attachment can be a great option if you fancy a quick shave. You can use it to trim your pubic hair, underarms, legs and bikini area. All you have to do is to replace the epilator head with the trimming head and pump up at any speed.

Emjoi eRase is corded and only suitable for dry usage. It cannot be rinsed with water, and thus, you have to make sure you clean it thoroughly from any bacteria build-up or hairs.

One major disadvantage of this device is its short cord. Try to find a practical spot close to an electric plug or else the entire epilation session will get a bit frustrating.

Speaking of frustration, remember to test the strength of the epilator before using it on your sensitive parts for the first time. While Emjoi eRase swears on delivering the most pain-free epilation one could hope for, many users still find the experience rather teary.

Usage

First things first. Before you embark upon a new epilation mission, make sure you have prepared your skin first to facilitate the entire process. To do so, the following steps may help:

  • Exfoliate your skin a day or two prior to your hair removal session using a loofah, an exfoliating brush or a scrub.
  • Since this device is corded and you cannot use it underwater, I advise you to take a hot shower just before epilating. The steam will soften your hair follicles and open up your pores. While these tips might seem insignificant, they may assist you on how to epilate without pain.
  • Dry your skin well and start epilating!

Using Emjoi eRase on Different Areas

Face

Emjoi eRase

Given this device’s light size, one would assume it would work easily on any face. However, reviewers have shared their experience when using Emjoi eRase on their face and suggested the possible need to tilt it or use it on one side only.

You can also try on the sensitive attachment and adjust the speed accordingly.

When using this device on your upper lip, chin, or when treating peach fuzz, start off with the low speed and if it’s ineffective, try the higher one. Careful not to apply too much pressure on your skin.

Underarms

Emjoi eRase

Emjoi eRase’s size comes in handy when managing your armpit hair. Apply this device at your most preferable speed in a circular motion to tackle all hairs. If the hair is too long, you might need to trim it to around 3mm first. Rinsing your underarms with hot water before epilating can soften the coarse hair and make it easier to pull. This area might be difficult to master for beginners, however, after a bit of practicing, you should achieve great results.

Bikini Area

Emjoi eRase

I’ve tried to fairly assess the performance of Emjoi eRase on this hyper-sensitive area regardless of how painful the process might be. Because let’s face it, no matter what we use for a Brazilian, it would still hurt like hell. Just as the face and the underarms, you have to test with the low speed first. Although given the thickness of pubic hair, you will definitely need the highest speed you can get.

This is a general tip on how to use an epilator on pubic hair: stretch your skin manually with one hand while using the device on your skin with the other. Pulling your skin tightly will enable better access to all hairs and will also ease the pain. Just a bit.

Emjoi eRase has been named by epilator reviews consumer reports as one of the best epilators for Brazilian hair removal.

Leg and Arm

Emjoi eRase

As I’ve mentioned before, this device has 60 tweezers, so, it can handle leg and arm hair comfortably.

Conversely, the process can be time-consuming since the width of the head is not so large.

Think of it this way: you’ll be rewarded with a silk-smooth skin for up to 6 weeks as a "thank you" for all your patience! Not bad, if you ask me.

Conclusion

As an epilator enthusiast, I’d say I enjoyed trying out Emjoi eRase. This device is extremely versatile and is effective on coarse and fine hair. It is also a useful epilator for the private areas. I’m going to restate what you’ll find in any other Emjoi eRase review, in order get optimal results, you need to have an experimental mindset with this product, and come up with your most efficient technique.

This product might not be suitable for sensitive skin as it can be very painful. However, if you can tolerate its pain you will achieve great results with long-term usage. Preparing your skin with a numbing cream prior to epilation is always a valid option, so, keep it in mind when you're thinking about your next Brazilian session.

As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts and your own experiences with Emjoi eRase. If you have any questions or believe I’ve missed out on an important point, please, do share your notes in the comments section below. See you epi-later, folks!
