Remington states that iLight Pro participants experienced a 48 percent decrease in hair development within a 6-month period after just 3 treatments. Remington doesn’t recommend

ILIGHT Pro device

Source : Remington

Produces 1,500 flashes per bulb with the capacity to treat a 2 cm square area with each bulb. ILight Pro is a great IPL option to use on your entire body (below the neck) it has been reviewed as effective on sensitive body parts such as the armpits and bikini area.
Remington doesn’t advise using this product on facial hair.

The device comes with a 3-year warranty. As previously mentioned iLight has a built-in skin tone sensor to check for skin compatibility. This safety option makes Remington one of the safest brands to use.

1 Glass Cartridge

Arguably one of this product’s cons is the replaceable cartridges. Remington iLight Pro replacement cartridge should typically last for 2-3 full body treatments. It provides 1,500 flashes per bulb.

Power Cord

Remington devices come with a thick 1.7-meter cord that has been reviewed as “fairly easy” to use.

1 Lint-free cleaning cloth

A durable and reusable sterile cleaning cloth that doesn’t wear out easily.

Use and Care Guide

Remington strongly advises users to read their guide before using the iLight Pro device to avoid any possible skin irritation.

Usage

Remington iLight Pro has 5 levels of intensity to fit your skin’s sensitivity. You should try them out to determine the most comfortable level for your skin. You can test it on a small spot on your arm or leg and monitor any skin reactions. Here’s how to properly do it:

  • Begin with the lowest intensity level (1).
  • Press the flash button in 1 or 2 areas.
  • If you’re not experiencing any discomfort, try on level (2).
  • Stop if it starts to get painful.
  • chevron-right
Check for any skin reactions after 24 hours.

If you haven’t experienced any negative reactions, you can apply that intensity level moving forward or test and move up to a stronger level. These intensity levels fortify great Remington iLight Pro before and after results that can last up to 6 months.

How to use it?

  • Start off by taking a hot shower to open up your pores and loosen hair follicles.
  • You can also exfoliate your skin 1 to 2 days prior to shaving. The exfoliation session will help detoxify your skin and allow the IPL device to work smoother.
  • Shave the unwanted hair closely and dry your skin properly.
  • Place your skin over the device’s skin tone sensor to ensure the product’s compatibility with your skin type.
  • chevron-right
Make sure your device is charged and ready to flash (cue: beeping sound when placed against skin) before you start pressing the flash button.
  • chevron-right
Use a pattern while placing the device on your skin to ensure a successful hair removal session. At this point, you may start to experience some warmth. If it feels too painful you should stop to adjust the intensity level.
  • chevron-right
Avoid treating the same area more than once to prevent skin irritation.

Who should use iLight Pro?

Remington recommends this device to people with medium to darker hair colors. ILight Pro is less effective on light hair colors as blonde or red, and will not work properly on white or grey hair. This product isn’t convenient for people with dark skin (check this illustrative chart for more details), tattoos or skin areas with dark spots.

Remington iLight Pro

Other than that, iLight Pro is a great IPL option for your legs, underarms, chest, or even bikini line. It removes hair efficiently on all body parts below the neck.

Tip on using iLight Pro’s skin sensor: According to Remington iLight Pro reviews, relying on the sensor’s determination of intensity level may not be very accurate. It’s better if you set the appropriate intensity level yourself.

It’s not advised to use Remington iLight Pro on the face. Even if you’re an experimental-type of person, it’s best to stick to avoiding parts below the neck. The delicate skin on your face and neck might have severe reactions to this device. ILight Pro’s intensity levels are not equipped to handle facial and neck hair gently.

How often should I use the Remington iLight Pro?

The brand advises that your spread out the hair removal regimen over 1 month. You should refer to your hair growth cycle to make sure to tackle the largest number of active hairs. Remington recommends using the device “once a week, every other week over 1 month period.” You should start seeing noticeable results after 1 or 2 weeks from using iLight Pro.

Abstain from using the device if you have any blisters or redness in the treatment area. If irritation resulting from using iLight Pro doesn’t fade within 3 days, you should contact Remington’s customer service.

A great tip is to keep track of your treatment schedule using the brand’s Treatment Record Cards (included in the Use and Care guide).

Other Relevant Questions

What is the difference between the Remington iLight Pro and the iLight Pro Plus Quartz?

ILight Pro Plus Quartz produces 30,000 flashes per bulb, compared to 1,500 flashes by iLight Pro. Both devices are suitable for areas below the neck only and cannot be used to treat facial hair. Both products target a 2 cm squared area per flash. The two devices are equally easy to use.

Pro Plus Quartz has a Quartz lamp (hence the name). The former cost nearly twice as an iLight Pro device. However, its cartridge can carry out up to 50 treatments.

What is the difference between the Remington iLight Pro and the iLight Ultra?

Let me put it this way, iLight Ultra is iLight Pro, but on steroids. It produces 65,000 flashes per bulb (equivalent to more than 100 treatments). It can be used for facial as well as bodily hair. ILight Pro, on the other hand, can only be applied on areas below the neck.

The Ultra device is also strong enough to handle male hair (below the neck). It comfortably covers 3 cm-squared areas per flash.

Can I use flash n go every day?

A lot of people have started been slightly hesitant toward iLight Pro’s weekly basis treatment.
In general, you should avoid directing IPL depilation devices on your skin for more than once a week.

You should give your skin room to breathe or else it can develop severe irritation which can never be good! Silk’n Flash and Go is no exception to this, according to BeautyStat.com, Silk’n recommends that treatments be “spaced every two weeks for the first four sessions. If hair has grown back after these first four treatments, monthly treatments can be done until desired results are achieved.”

Conclusion

To sum up, I believe Remington is a highly efficient product that can guarantee amazing results. However, just as the company advises, this device isn’t for everybody. So, it’s important to make sure it works for your skin and hair type! ILight Pro ensures positive results that can last 6 months within 1-2 weeks from first treatment.

An affordable deal that comes in the comfort of your home. Since the device is practical and suitable for home users, you will not have to worry about compromising quality for comfort and affordability. Remington iLight Pro can give you the best of both worlds.
