Overall, this is a great product that can remove unwanted hair. The Flash and Go applicator allows you to target even the most sensitive areas of the body such as the bikini line or smaller areas such as your face, underarms, as well as larger areas like your arms and legs.

It requires an outlet to use, which means that it doesn’t need to be recharged. The product emits pulses of light that works to remove unwanted hair. It typically takes about 4 treatments to begin seeing results with optimal treatments for at least six months.

Hair will become finer and lighter in color until it eventually stops growing completely. It does have major limitations. For example, it is not ideal for dark or tan skin and it does not work as effectively on white or blonde hair.

It also takes multiple rounds of treatments so on bikini areas or other areas with thicker or darker hair. Those will require several more treatments over time. If you can afford the purchase, it is a great solution to unwanted hair.

The product contains one hair removal device which contains about 5000 flashes of Silk’n Flash and Go orange light. An upgrade is available as a refill cartridge can be purchased to add 120,000 flashes which is similar to the amount of newer models. It also plugs directly into a wall so you do not need to change any batteries or worry about the device not being properly charged.

How Does Silk’N Flash N Go Work?

Silk'n Flash and Go uses HPL (High pulsated light) to target hair follicles at the root to disable future hair growth. All hair follicles are in both the growing and resting stage. Laser hair removal works because pulsated light is absorbed by the melanin in hair or skin. Melanin gives both hair and skin its color and is responsible for absorbing the light.

This is why it is not recommended for those with darker skin as it can cause skin discoloration. Flash N go disrupts hair in the growing phase so it will take several cycles to see full results. Most people see full results within six months of treatment.

How often to use the Silk’N Flash and Go?

The Silk’N Flash and Go reviews and manufacturer discloses that each person will respond differently to treatment depending on the treatment area, color, hair texture and rate of hair growth. The product works by emitting light that is absorbed by hair and permanently removes it. Most people will begin to see results in as little as 2-4 treatments and full results is as little as 6 month.

Initially, hair will regrow back but will be finer and lighter in color. It is not typically recommended for everyday use because you need to wait before treatment so that you can target the “growing” phase.

The Silk’N Flash can be used with the Silk’n application for your iPhone and provides users with support regarding treatment schedules and information about their specific removal device.

Can I use Flash N Go Everyday?

How To Use An Epilator

It is recommended that you do not use Flash N Go every day, but it also depends on how you respond to treatment. Since side effects can occur, overuse or daily treatment can put you at risk of redness, pain, or skin irritation. Remember that the technology works by disrupting hair that is not in its resting phase, so you will want to treat in batches.

It does not work well on lighter hair as melanin is required to absorb the light. Some people can experience skin discoloration and have sensitive reactions to treatment as well.

Is Silk’N Flash and Go safe?

Silk'N Flash and Go Reviews

Silk’N Flash N go is safe to use as it has been FDA tested and cleared. It will not cause ingrown hairs or razor burn unlike some other more conventional hair removal methods like shaving or waxing. However, there can be some Silk’n Flash and Go side effects.

For instance, it is not recommended for dark skin tones as it can cause skin discoloration. It also is not effective on blonde, white or grey hair as these do not contain much melanin. This means the light emitted will not be absorbed and will not work.

There are some areas that might have sensitivity to treatment such as the upper lip or on the face, which means you may want to learn how to use the Silk’n Flash and Go on your face before trying it. The Silk’N FLash N go is not recommended for use it on the upper lip or on the eyebrows as it can be harmful to the eye area.

How does it compare to some other permanent hair removal devices?

of the first devices in its family. Although it is limited to 5000 flashes, it does contain an upgrade kit that contains about 120,000 flashes ensuring that you will not need a refill kit. 120,000 flashes is sufficient for an individual to treat their entire body. Some devices have rechargeable lithium ion batteries or are designed to be portable. Some have USB charging plugs as well.
When choosing a device, it is important to consider all of the Flash and Go reviews, but also how many flashes are in each device. Here are some of the common devices in the Silk’n family:

  • The Flash and Go Luxx
The Flash and Go Luxx is similar to the Silk’N Flash and Go except in terms of looks and design but it already contains the 120,000 flashes so no need to ever purchase refill Silk’n Flash and Go cartridges. 120,000 flashes is enough to treat almost an entire body.
  • The Flash and Go Compact
The Flash and Go compact is similar to the Silk’n flash and go except it is smaller and more compact, designed for travel or to carry in a small bag. It contains 150,000 flashes.
  • The Flash and Go Express
The Flash and Go Express is another removal device and has the most flashes out of any device. Equipped with over 300,000 flashes, it is enough for two people to use on their entire bodies. It also has a gliding mode which allows the user to treat their areas in less time than previously required.                                                                                                                                                                             Because it is designed to be portable, it has a USB charger and is rechargeable to use while on the go. It is a bit more costly than some of the other devices.

Other popular device such as the Remington i-Light, Silk'n Sensepil XL also emit high pulsated light, but will vary on the amount of flashes, price, and area that it can cover. You should purchase a device based on your needs and treatment area and ensure that it will still fit into your budget because the devices can range significantly in price.

What’s the alternative?

The alternative to laser hair removal is electrolysis for long term removal of unwanted hair. Electrolysis works using high frequency current or sound to disrupt hair follicles. It is ideal for all areas of the body on both light and dark hair. So, it can be used as another option for those that might not be good candidates for the Silk’N Flash and Go or laser hair removal.

Conclusion

Overall, the Silk’N Flash and Go is a great device for removing unwanted hair for almost every part of your body. Ideal for those with fair to medium skin tones and darker hair, this product will effectively target hair in the growing phase with full results in as little as 6 months.

It is not recommended for those with dark skin tones, so before you should first determine if you are an ideal candidate so you can explore other hair removal options. This device doesn't need to be recharged and is similar in cost to other devices. In conclusion, this is an excellent choice if you are considering at home laser hair removal.

The free downloadable app for your iPhone can also help you develop a treatment plan that will help you with the entire process. This is a perfect tool to help you get ready for the warmer spring and summer weather without worrying about the hassle of unwanted hair.
